If You’re Going to San Francisco ♪
San Francisco… Oh San Francisco! — Words cannot describe my wonderful experience in this city.
Funnily enough, as our vehicle drove on the Golden Gate bridge into San Francisco, the song “San Francisco” by Scott Mckenzie suddenly started playing on the radio. It was such a pleasant coincidence that definitely made our entrance to the city much more memorable.
The very first thing we did in San Francisco was ride the cable car! It was no doubt a very interesting experience. We were lucky enough to ride outside because the inside was filled with people. Therefore, we were able to see the views outside as we rode around.
And… let me tell you something…
I was surprised to see that he actually needed to push it!
Then, we walked around Lombard Street. This zig zag street was so beautiful! It was filled with flowers
and … a lot of other tourists taking pictures.
it was cute haha!
We walked around town and visited many places.
I would love to go check out Alcatraz Island next time.
During our stay, we also rode the San Francisco Bay Cruise and had an amazing time. It allowed us to see the wonderful views around the bay (the San Francisco waterfront, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Alcatraz Island).
The 1 hour tour included a multilingual audio that offered passengers the ability to listen about the cultural history of the city as the Red & White fleet passed by the landmarks.
The audio was offered in 16 languages.
The only downside to riding the cruise is that … you will FREEZE! Although it’s a hot sunny day, you will feel really cold during the ride. So, it would be a good idea to dress warmly or to bring a sweater for the ride. Other than that, enjoy taking pictures! 🙂
I was able to film this footage.
I slowed it down a little bit 🙂
After freezing like crazy during the cruise, we went to look for food to fill our empty stomachs. Our guide suggested for us to try this food called “Clam Chowder.” We listened to him but we didn’t know what to expect. We were a bit concerned when we ordered it at the restaurant. However, once our food arrived, our faces instantly lit up with smiles. It smelled so good. It was pretty cool how they used the bread as a bowl. After our first bite, we just couldn’t help ourselves anymore. We finished it in a flash! The taste was simply amazing! It definitely satisfied our hunger. However, we didn’t know what to do with the big chunk of bread in the end… This might be a “normal” food for others, but it felt like a new world for us on that day. Let’s just say that it was an eye-opening experience. 😊
After eating, we headed straight to Sausalito. The sun and heat was no joke. I got tanned in such a short time and my friend got a nasty sunburn. HAHA. It was almost impossible to find a shade.
We did, however, grabbed some delicious ice cream!
The line up was incredibly long!!
I really had a great time in San Francisco.
I would love to visit again in the future.
That’s all for today.
Thank you for visiting.
